Interim Senior Accountant

Our client, a global SaaS company, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a contract role to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This position will be responsible for month-end close activities, fluctuation analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations, primarily supporting the US general ledger while coordinating closely with international teams. The engagement will run from June 2025 through February 2026, with a preference for candidates working in CST or EST.

This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve daily cash journal entries, Concur expense reports, and journal entries for operating expenses
• Assist with monthly accruals using Numeric and analyze vendor trends
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and monthly financial statement fluctuations
• Support quarterly tax compliance tasks, 1099 filings, and assist with the annual audit

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or public accounting experience preferred
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge
• Proficiency in Net Suite required; familiarity with Numeric, Blackline, Flo Qast, or Zip a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently across global teams

Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $55 - $65 per hour.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
