Accounting Manager – General Accounting

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager oversees general accounting operations, manages automation and process improvement projects, and leads a team of accounting professionals.

$61.27/hr - $91.91/hr

• Oversee daily operations – manage day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
• Manage automation and process improvement projects – explore and lead initiatives to streamline financial reporting.
• Lead the team – mentor, provide technical guidance and training.
• Assist in managing financial closings – lead and participate in month‑end and year‑end closes, review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in managing the audit – coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Special projects – support ad hoc projects such as compliance reporting and tax filing.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Six (6) years of progressive experience in an accounting environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting or audit firm and 2 years at a management level.
• Strong accounting skills, including understanding of GAAP.
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations related to healthcare industry and financial reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with integrated accounting software.
• Knowledge of Workday Finance module preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) required.

Sedentary work; duties performed mostly while sitting; walking and standing asionally lift or carry up to 10 lbs. Uses hands and fingers.
