The Robotics Reliability Engineering (RRE) team ensures the reliability and resilience of the software and systems that power our autonomous vehicle fleet. RRE serves as the frontline incident response team for complex technical issues that arise during fleet operations, triaging, diagnosing, and coordinating resolution with hardware and software engineering groups.

As a Senior Reliability Engineer you will be the technical point of contact for diagnosing and resolving on‑site issues. You will work directly with our robotic systems, leading projects to identify systemic weaknesses and architect long‑term solutions. The role includes mentoring team members and developing data visualizations to drive data‑driven decision‑making.

• Support operations during autonomous vehicle testing and customer‑facing missions to ensure software and hardware function correctly.
• Analyze software issues, identify contributing factors, trends, and corrective actions, and document learnings across the organization.
• Develop monitoring, auditing, and reporting systems and workflows using Prometheus, Grafana, GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes to provide timely insights into fleet operations.
• Propose, design, review, execute, and lead technical projects for the Robotics Reliability Engineering team.
• Build tools and automation to advance diagnosis and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Participate in on‑call support rotation to diagnose and mitigate software issues with the vehicle fleet.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Hardware, Performance, Connectivity, Security, Embedded SW, etc.) to identify risks and solutions.

• Strong systematic analysis and problem‑solving skills with a passion for debugging complex systems.
• Expertise building automation and troubleshooting tools for Linux systems.
• Ability to reverse engineer unexpected behaviors to source‑code triggers.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Go, or Bash.
• Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux internals and networking.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in on‑call support rotation.
• Experience monitoring and securing large‑scale server infrastructure.

• Experience with robotics, sensors, automotive, or aerospace systems.
• Experience in site reliability, systems, or release engineering.
• Experience building AI/ML services for troubleshooting and incident response.

Base pay for this position ranges from $145,830 to $219,000, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors. The role also includes an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
