Payments Consultant – Financial Services Payments Practice

Accenture’s Financial Services North America Banking Client Service Group is looking for a Payments Consultant to design and deliver strategic solutions for retail banking and payments clients across the U.S. and Canada. You will work on projects ranging from payment innovation to card issuance, retail bank payments, and commercial cash management.

• Develop world‑class business and technology solutions for consumer and commercial payments clients across a wide range of payment methods.
• Conduct operating model assessments (people, process, organization) and client needs assessments.
• Perform vendor assessment and due diligence of packaged platforms, including card platforms, pricing & profitability and workflow solutions, and treasury management portals.
• Participate in process design, requirements gathering, and functional design for payments systems implementation engagements.
• Serve as a business architect during client engagements and contribute to the development of reusable best‑in‑class assets.
• Engage in business development to originate new client opportunities.
• Travel up to 80% (Monday–Thursday) as required by client engagements.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more payment domains:
  Card, Retail, Electronic, or Cash/Treasury Management.
• 5+ years’ experience with consulting project delivery, including creating deliverables, managing projects within timelines and budgets in a large commercial bank, payment provider, or consulting environment.
• Strong business and technology expertise across end‑to‑end payment life cycles and operating models.
• Ability to develop and manage relationships with client management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Industry experience with consumer, commercial, or emerging payment flows.
• Successful track record of operating model design, business process design, and system functional design.
• Experience with vendor platforms enabling seamless delivery of payment products.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end payment lifecycle and alternative/emerging payments.
• Knowledge of technology principles, requirements analysis, and functional design.

Must be willing to travel up to 80% (Monday–Thursday).
