Finance Director​/Controller

The CENTRL business model is enterprise B2B SaaS

• With a staff accountant reporting into this position - planning, directing and coordinating all operational accounting functions including Revenue Recognition, Client Billing, and Expense Management, and ownership for Financial Planning & Reporting activities
• Provide operational finance support to the CEO, COO and the CENTRL leadership team.
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Providing management with financial information vital to the decision-making process
• Co‑management in budgeting and forecast processes
• Work with our FP&A lead on processes & information for management and investor reporting
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Explore & apply AI tools for accounting and finance workflows & activities
• Integral to development of board of director and investor presentation materials
• Coordination with our external auditors
• Oversee annual third‑party company valuation (409a)
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting tools, as needed. With ownership of evaluation and recommendation of new tools needed as the business scales
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations
• Ownership, development and maintenance of internal control policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and GAAP standards
• Oversee HRIS and Payroll processes
• Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• SaaS / Subscription business model experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Oracle)
• Advanced Excel / Google sheet skills and comfort with financial modeling and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication, business partnership, and interpersonal abilities

• MBA, CFA, and/or other relevant certifications are a bonus.
• Experience leading accounting at a venture‑backed startup.
