Contextual AI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to be part of the GTM team. This team sells to Global 2000 organizations deploying generative AI solutions in production. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll be a trusted technical advisor and subject‑matter expert for prospects and customers, understanding requirements, designing demos, and driving business value. You’ll work closely with customers to identify use cases, scope needs, design pipelines, and help drive the adoption of Contextual AI’s technology.

You’ll be a subject‑matter expert on AI industry trends and best practices. You’ll work directly with customers to align Contextual AI’s products to their top use cases, engage in technical discussions with engineers, and demonstrate the value of Contextual AI in business discussions with directors and executives. You will also help distill customer feedback to improve our products in partnership with product and engineering teams.

• Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle—drive technology evaluation processes to highlight Contextual AI’s differentiation, clarify the business value to the customer, and ensure customer success with our products.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers while building relationships with technical stakeholders.
• Scope customer trials and projects, and work with engineering and product teams to design and implement POC requirements that satisfy customer needs while being technically feasible.
• Create and deliver specialized technical demos tailored to each customer.
• Act as the “Voice of the Customer”—regularly engage on status calls, educate on product roadmap and QBRs, manage escalations, and influence our roadmap with the Product team.
• Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions, and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners, and our sales team to deliver winning solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• Experience in enterprise SaaS, AI/ML, infrastructure, or similar industries in a technical capacity with end‑customer engagement.
• Proficiency in data infrastructure and modern machine learning tools (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, transformers).
• Proficiency with coding languages such as Python, Typescript, or similar at a production level.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance and support in customer calls and interactions, addressing product usage needs, and resolving issues.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to demonstrate professional polish and high technical credibility with both executives and engineers.
• Self‑starter with the ability to operate independently and at high velocity.
• Clear customer empathy and intellectual curiosity.

For California‑based applicants: $160,000–$250,000 (actual compensation determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
