Vision Science​/Display Technologies UX Researcher

Job Description

• We are looking for a UX Research Associate to conduct evaluative and mixed methods research in support of Project. The UXR Research Associate will work closely with other UX Researchers, vision science researchers, product managers, engineers, and designers to conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., usability testing, perceptual studies, surveys, interviews). The UX Research Associate will conduct research projects and support designing, setting up, analyzing, and presenting results from research studies.

• Manage and support the setup and execution of research studies
• Understand study needs, create research plans, organize study materials, define respondent/participant criteria, and organize materials needed for research activities.
• Analyze and report on data from research activities.

• 5-7 years of work experience in relevant graduate-school research experience
• Experience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning and analysis tools
• Experience and understanding of display technologies
• Basic familiarity with each of the following methods, and in-depth expertise in one or more of the following:

• Solid understanding of and comfort with qualitative methods and foundational research.
• Strong understanding of experimental design
• Familiarity in basic quantitative analysis.
• Detail-oriented, excellent organization skills and ability to work to work independently on a variety of tasks
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

• SPSS, R, or other data cleaning and analysis tools
• Usability studies
• Surveys
• Qualitative and Quantitative methods

• M.A./M.S. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, or other fields emphasizing human behavior.
