Executive Chef - OTO Development
Bring your culinary creativity to the heart of Silicon Valley! Hyatt Centric Mountain View is seeking a passionate Executive Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team. The role combines restaurant innovation with banquet excellence— crafting inspired, locally influenced menus and orchestrating exceptional dining experiences for meetings, events, and celebrations.
What will you be doing most days?- Prepare, assign, and delegate responsibilities for the operation of the various F & B sub‑departments, e.g., Banquets.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations that relate to F & B, as well as local, state, and federal laws.
- Ensure safety of team members and cleanliness of facility and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of food, beverages, and supplies to maintain par requirements in all areas.
- Assist in conducting monthly inventories.
- Keep store rooms, refrigerator, and freezer organized.
- Assist in ordering and receiving necessary food products, beverages, and supplies.
- Ensure daily that the kitchen is staffed appropriately, clean, inventory levels are adequate, and equipment is working properly.
- Comply with company and franchise standards of operation procedures and regulatory agency requirements, ensuring all products are prepared and presented per brand or company standards.
This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
Pay Scale$37.15 – $63.53/hour (Exempt/Salaried Position Type). Rate depends on state/market.
Requirements- You have a thorough knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations that encompasses food and beverage, restaurant and banquet service techniques, as well as health and safety regulations.
- You have strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- You can communicate in English both orally and in writing.
- You must create and promote a positive working environment among team members.
- You must be able to work under pressure and perform well under stressful situations.
