Job Description: We’re seeking a Human Factors Quantitative Researcher with a statistical background to join a cross‑functional team working at the intersection of human physiology, sensor technology, and algorithm performance for next‑generation wearable devices. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, algorithm specialists, TPMs, and UX researchers to evaluate how sensor and algorithm performance influences user experience. The ideal candidate thrives in mixed hardware‑software environments and enjoys bridging human research insights with data‑driven sensor evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct lab‑based human factors studies related to wearable sensors and algorithmic performance.
  • Perform quantitative research using motion capture, signal analysis, and sensor data interpretation.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (engineering, UX, PM) to translate findings into actionable design or product improvements.
  • Analyze data using statistical methodologies to assess device performance and human interaction outcomes.
  • Support end‑to‑end research processes — from protocol design to data analysis and insight communication.
Experience (Required)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in applied human factors or quantitative UX research within product or health‑tech domains.
  • Hands‑on experience with motion capture systems (Vicon, Opti Track, etc.) — pressure mapping experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and statistical modeling.
Experience (Desired)
  • Strong understanding of sensor‑based systems, signal interpretation, and user experience evaluation.
  • Prior experience with wearables, health devices, or sensor‑driven products preferred.
Education
  • Graduate degree (PhD or Master’s) in Human Factors Engineering, Biomechanics, Ergonomics, or related quantitative research field.
