Please note: This job posting is part of a contract bid opportunity and is intended to identify potential candidates for inclusion in our proposal to a client. This is not an immediate job opening. Employment is contingent upon the award of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, inspect, and certify fire and life safety systems across the facility, including fire alarm systems, electrical components, access control, and gas detection systems.
• Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure systems are operational and compliant with codes.
• Document all work accurately, including service reports and certifications.
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA standards, local fire codes, and OEM specifications.
• Support ongoing operations by identifying issues and implementing maintenance solutions.
• Participate in training to stay current with evolving system technologies.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors for safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• Current certifications for working on fire and life safety systems.
• OEM training certifications as specified in Attachments J2.07.522, J2.07.523, J2.07.524.
• Additional certifications in access control, fire alarm, and gas detection systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Work in confined spaces, on ladders, or at heights.
• Stand, kneel, bend, or climb for extended periods.
• Available for emergency support and occasional after-hours work.

Additional Information

This position requires compliance with safety standards and ongoing training. Continued employment depends on maintaining current certifications.
