The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at DevAI will lead the design and deployment of AI coding agents powering Rovo Dev. These agents provide intelligent, context‑aware assistance directly in developers' terminals. You will build and optimize LLM and retrieval‑based systems for code planning, generation, review, and automation, leveraging Atlassian's code intelligence and ecosystem integrations.

• Own end‑to‑end ML pipelines, from data and experimentation to evaluation and safety guardrails, to improve product quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver features that increase developer productivity.
• Drive designs and deployments of AI coding agents powering Rovo Dev.
• Build and optimize LLM and retrieval‑based systems for code planning, generation, review, and automation.
• Have a strong passion for AI‑assisted development, coding with and for AI, and advancing agentic AI developer tools.

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. For this role, the baseline of our range is higher than the typical market range, but we expect most hires near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate’s skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones:

• Zone A: $202,500 - $264,375
• Zone B: $182,700 - $238,525
• Zone C: $168,300 - $219,725
