Coupang Ads Tech ML Infrastructure provides the platform, services and tooling to empower engineers through the full lifecycle of ML engineering by improving developer experience and engineering efficiency. The work is critical for driving Coupang’s Ads business growth in areas like Ads relevance through foundational infrastructure capabilities. We are looking for a Senior Staff Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineers to build Coupang Ads Tech ML infrastructure from the ground up.

• Build the platform, services and tooling for the full lifecycle of ML engineering
• Work with ML engineers who develop, train, deploy and operate ML models to optimize ML workflows and improve developer experience and developer efficiency
• Contribute to Coupang Ads Tech Infrastructure and improve how ML is integrated into Coupang Ads Tech infrastructure to meet requirements on engineering velocity, performance and reliability

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience with very large and complex distributed systems
• 5+ years of coding experience in one of the following: C++, Java, Python
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization

• Prior experience with large scale ML infrastructure
• Extensive experience in designing complex backend systems
• Ability to challenge the existing norms to improve overall systems and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $138,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $297,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
