Compliance Development Specialists assist in the administration of the bank’s compliance training and communication program, ensuring that training is relevant, current, effective, and aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management objectives.
Under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer, SVP, the role supports training development, succession planning, and resource evaluation, and fosters a culture of compliance across all departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain a compliance training program tailored to meet regulatory requirements and institutional needs.
- Oversee and maintain the Compliance Training Matrix, ensuring training elements, citations, and audience segments remain up to date.
- Ensure compliance training covers all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of training for the Board of Directors and Bank leadership, as needed.
- Assign and track compliance training completion for all employees, ensuring timely participation.
- Monitor training content for accuracy and relevance, updating materials as necessary.
- Evaluate compliance training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, including attendance, assessment results, and feedback, for audit and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on training completion rates, training updates, and effectiveness assessments, including key metrics for Management and the Board of Directors.
- Document training initiatives to demonstrate adherence to regulatory expectations.
- Provide insights and recommendations for training improvements based on monitoring results and compliance risk assessments.
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer as it relates to a proactive compliance training plan, including budget considerations, for the Compliance Department.
- Follow Bank policies and procedures.
- Foster and support the Banks’ Core Values.
- Facilitate ongoing training discussions with management teams to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for compliance training-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance or training (preferably in banking). Certification in compliance or training is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of all applicable Regulations that pertain to this position, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti‑Money Laundering.
- Ability to translate complex regulations into accessible training content.
- Familiarity with data analytics for tracking training effectiveness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
- Good personal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Represents the Bank with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Adheres to 1st Security Bank’s policies and supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be bondable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.

Salary: $26.45 to $36.06 per hour
