Library Assistant (Part-Time)

We are seeking a motivated and organized Library Assistant to join our team at the Muharraq Public Library. As a part-time employee, you will assist in the daily operations of the library, including shelving books, maintaining order in the library, and providing customer service to library patrons. This is an excellent opportunity for students or those looking to gain experience in a library setting.

• Shelving books and maintaining proper order in the library
• Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as checking books in and out, issuing library cards, and answering phone calls
• Providing excellent customer service to library patrons by answering questions and helping them locate materials
• Assisting with programming and events, such as storytime for children or book clubs for adults
• Keeping the library clean and organized at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent required; currently enrolled students preferred
• No previous experience necessary; on-the-job training will be provided
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus

This is a part-time position with a salary of $1000 per month.

Muharraq Public Library is located in Muharraq City, Bahrain.
