Librarian Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team at a reputable library in Muharraq. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the librarian in organizing and managing library materials, providing support to library patrons, and maintaining the library's overall appearance.

• Assist the librarian in cataloging, shelving, and organizing books and other materials.
• Provide support to library patrons by answering questions, issuing library cards, and helping with research requests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library by shelving books, tidying up workstations, and ensuring that all materials are in their proper place.
• Help with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies to the librarian.
• Assist with planning and promoting library events and programs for students.
• Stay up-to-date with library policies, procedures, and resources to effectively assist patrons.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
• Must be able to work full-time with accommodation provided.
