JobPurpose
The position is responsible for driving Solution Business growth through business development and sale of Yokogawa solutions and services to customers in the fastest growing MEANA subregion Africa region. This is a sales and business leadership role with significant strategic and customer-facing activity that requires a self-motivated individual with excellent leadership and people management experience as well as solid business, industry, and sales knowledge.
This role will be a key part of the senior leadership succession plan for the Africa region. With the Africa business representing >10% of Yokogawa’s MENA solution business, the goal of the role is to transform our operations and grow our solution business by 20% per year. The position directly manages a small team of Solution Sales Account Executives and is supported by local Sales Account Managers and a team of technical Solution Consultants and Services Engineers.
This position will report to the Senior Vice President of the Digital Enterprise Solution Business Unit.
- Conduct market research and work closely with Africa country offices to identify potential clients, engaging client’s senior management and facilitate smart manufacturing/DX assessment workshops.
- Achieve assigned objectives of business revenue, sales pipeline development and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze the current state of the company's technology and identify areas for improvement through assessment activities.
- Develop and implement a digital transformation strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Leveraging existing and building a new Partner ecosystem to drive the Solution sales and consultation will be critical.
- Recommend specific digital technologies, platforms, and tools that can be used to improve processes, customer experience, and employee productivity, etc.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful adoption and integration of new digital technologies through development of the transformation roadmap.
- Create and deliver functional area presentations and guide proposal team till close deals to drive revenue growth.
- Monitor and measure the success of digital transformation initiatives and adjust the process as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in digital technology and advise the company on how to incorporate these into the Solution Business strategy, especially in accelerated demands (i.e., AI, Decarbonization, renewable etc.).
- Coordinate with Global/Industrial Account Sales Management to ensure proper account coordination and penetration in assigned accounts and sales quota achievement on a team basis.
- Bachelors Eng./Comp Science or minimum 12 years industry experience in business development, presales, consultant, or engineering discipline.
- More than 8 years of experience in digital transformation or related fields, such as IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or management consulting.
