Direct Support Professional Youth Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist children ages 12-21 with disabilities, behavioral or medical complexities in our residential program.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP/Caregiver), you will support children with activities that focus on increasing their independence. You will provide coaching, supervision, and role modeling life skills. The job may also include transportation, medication administration, meal preparation, and assistance with personal cares.

• Provide coaching, supervision, and role modeling life skills to children to increase independence.
• Support activities of daily living, including transportation, meal preparation, medication administration, and personal cares as needed.

• Valid driver s license required
• 6 months of professional work experience supporting vulnerable populations (e.g., caregiver, nanny, para educator, direct support professional)
• 6 months of volunteer experience may be used in lieu of professional work experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older per Washington state licensing requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members
