Business Developer (Finance)
About the Role

We're seeking a true "hunter" Business Developer who thrives on prospecting, uncovering new opportunities, and winning new business. This is not an account management role; it's about forging new relationships, generating leads, and closing deals to drive growth. You'll be in the field daily, actively searching for commercial property prospects, presenting customized solutions, and securing long‑term landscape maintenance contracts.

What You'll Do
  • Act as a hunter by aggressively identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in the commercial landscaping market
  • Conduct cold calls, site visits, and attend networking events to build a pipeline of qualified leads
  • Build strong relationships with property managers, HOAs, commercial property owners, and decision-makers
  • Develop and present custom maintenance solutions and proposals
  • Collaborate with operations and estimating teams on pricing and service planning
  • Track all activity in CRM software and submit weekly progress reports
  • Ensure a smooth handoff to account management and field teams
What We’re Looking For

Must‑Have:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience (landscaping, facilities, or service industry preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening

Nice‑to‑Have:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment

This is a field‑based sales position with frequent outdoor site visits. Requires occasional walking, bending, or lifting up to 25 lbs. Exposure to varying weather conditions.
