Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist with a strong understanding of US accounting principles, taxation, and familiarity with India Payroll processes. The ideal candidate will manage payroll, invoicing, and billing, ensure compliance with both US and India taxation regulations, and handle agreements and contracts for consultants, employees, and customers, working on both full-time and contract bases.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Taxation (US):
Manage day-to-day accounting operations in compliance with US GAAP.
Handle US federal, state, and local tax filings and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Provide tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities.

India Payroll & Taxation:
Administer payroll processing for employees and consultants in compliance with India regulations.
Ensure accurate tax calculations and timely payments under Indian tax laws.
Stay updated with changes in local tax laws and implement adjustments accordingly.

Invoicing & Billing (US & India):
Manage invoicing and billing processes for clients and vendors in both the US and India.
Ensure timely and accurate generation of invoices and billing statements.
Track payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable and ensure records are updated.

Contracts & Agreements:
Draft, review, and manage employment agreements, consultancy contracts, and customer contracts.
Negotiate terms and ensure contractual compliance for both full-time employees and contractors.
Maintain records of contracts and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
Assist in addressing any disputes or compliance issues related to contracts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in US accounting, payroll, taxation, invoicing, and billing.
Familiarity with India Payroll systems, taxation processes, invoicing, and billing practices.
Expertise in Quick Books or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of contracts and agreements, particularly for employees and consultants.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work with both full-time and contract-based employees and clients.

Preferred

Skills:

Experience with international payroll systems.
Familiarity with legal frameworks for contract management in the US and India.
