Role Description The Accountant - August - 2026 role at Anil Sekhri & Company is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves day-to-day accounting activities such as maintaining ledgers, posting journal entries, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, and ensuring accurate recording of income and expenses. The Accountant will assist in preparation of financial statements, support budgeting and costing exercises, and help with tax computations, filings, and compliance documentation.
Responsibilities also include monitoring accounts payable and receivable, preparing periodic MIS reports, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate information flow. The role requires adherence to professional standards, confidentiality, and effective collaboration within a small but high-performing finance team.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and preparation of basic financial statements.
Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation and compliance, including direct and indirect taxes, TDS, GST, and related statutory filings.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools, such as ERP or desktop accounting systems, spreadsheets, and document management tools.
Candidates should possess analytical and numerical skills, including attention to detail, ability to interpret financial data, and capability to support budgeting and costing activities.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work with internal teams and external partners.
Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience in media, entertainment, or professional services firms, along with a strong understanding of confidentiality and ethical practices, will be beneficial.
