Handle various income types including W-2, self-employment, investments, rentals, K-1s, capital gains, and stock compensation .
Prepare and review international reporting forms including FBAR, 8938, 1116, 2555, 8621, 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118 .
Manage partnership tax matters , including basis, capital accounts, and book-tax differences.
Apply advanced partnership concepts including Sections 704(b), 704(c), 754, 743(b), and 734(b) .
Review K-1 allocations, disclosures, and multi-entity/fund structures for accuracy and compliance.
Analyze foreign income, cross-border transactions, treaty provisions, foreign tax credits, and residency issues .
Review corporate and partnership returns for technical accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations .
Conduct tax research on complex federal, international, partnership, and multi-state tax matters.
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns , including multi-state filings and apportionment.
Coordinate with clients to obtain missing information, resolve queries, and clarify tax positions.
Provide basic tax planning and advisory insights based on client circumstances.
Supervise, review, and mentor junior tax preparers , ensuring quality and efficiency.
Maintain accurate work papers, documentation, extensions, estimates, and compliance calendars while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
CA/CPA/EA or equivalent with 2–4+ years of US Individual and Business Tax experience and strong international tax knowledge.
