Mid-Day is looking for a dynamic and deadline-driven Reporter to join our newsroom in Mumbai. The role involves a combination of field reporting, page production, and requiring strong news sense, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities-:
FIELD REPORTING:
The candidate should be open to stepping out for interviews, previews and reportage
PAGE MAKING:
Familiarity with InDesign page-making software is a plus because pagemaking/production is part of the role. If unaware of the software, the candidate will be guided initially after which they will be expected to use it for daily operations
SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL:
Proficient in tracking developments on social media and and ability to offer news breaks in assigned beats for digital updates
WORKING DAYS:
It is a 6-day working week - Monday to Saturday;
Sunday is the weekly day off; team comes in on Saturdays from 2.30-3 pm.
TIME MANAGEMENT & DEADLINES:
Ability to meet daily deadlines and file a story a day
NEWSROOM:
The job requires physical presence at the office in  Mumbai , and not a WFH post. We are currently working out of the Mid-day newsroom in Kalanagar, Bandra East.
