Furniture and Product Designer

This role is full-time, in-person based in our studio in Byculla, Mumbai.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Collection Design & Development
Conceptualize and design furniture and hard-goods aligned with seasonal stories stories and brand identity.
Create original designs, forms, and structures that are functional and aesthetically aligned to the brand
Develop mood boards, sketches, detailed tech packs, and spec sheets for sampling.
2. Design Detailing & Exploration
Work closely with print design team to adapt and integrate artwork into products meaningfully
Select and test materials, structures, and forms that support both the design story and product construction.
Explore innovative materials, techniques, and embellishment options.
3. Sampling & Production Coordination
Oversee the sampling process end-to-end trials, revisions, approvals, sampling, and finishing quality.
Collaborate with artisans and production partners to ensure final products meet brand standards.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and visual teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across product, photoshoots, and retail display.
Support the creation of lookbooks, campaign styling, and product naming.
Ensure timely handover of deliverables to cross-teams for launch planning.
5. Trend & Market Research
Stay updated with global design trends, emerging techniques, material innovations, and customer insights.
Analyze boutique and indie brand markets to ensure our collections are fresh, relevant, and commercially viable.
6. Documentation & Workflow
Maintain organized design archives, material libraries, and deign files.
Prepare clear handover documents and maintain collection timelines.
Who You Are:
An imaginative designer with a passion for bold, contemporary, and practical design.
Strong sketching ability (digital or hand), a keen eye for detail, and a refined sense of color.
Deep understanding of product construction and performance.
Able to balance creativity with practicality and cost-efficiency.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment where design, craft, and experimentation are valued.
Requirements:
Degree in Furniture/Accessories/Hardgoods/Lifestyle Product Design or related field.
1–4 years of experience in furniture, hardgoods, or accessories design
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other technical design programs.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Experience working with sampling units and production vendors.
