About

The Role

As an  Academic Counselor  at  IIDE, Lower Parel , you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students through their educational journey. This role involves counseling students on IIDE's digital marketing programs, managing student communications, mentoring junior counselors, and driving admissions growth while ensuring an excellent student experience.

You will provide career guidance, answer student and parent queries, manage lead conversions, and collaborate with internal teams to uphold high standards across the admissions process.

What You'll Do

Student Counseling & Guidance:

○ Counsel students on IIDE's digital marketing courses, helping them choose the right path based on their interests and career aspirations.

○ Communicate with students and parents both in-person and over the phone, addressing queries and guiding them through course options.

○ Provide expert career guidance and support students throughout their learning journey.

Mentorship & Team

Collaboration:

○ Mentor and support junior counselors to improve counseling effectiveness and individual performance.

○ Assist in onboarding and training new team members to ensure consistency within the counseling department.

○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless student experience.

Target Achievement & Reporting:

○ Consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly counseling and enrollment targets.

○ Monitor lead conversion rates and ensure timely and efficient follow-ups.

○ Use CRM tools and sales automation systems to generate reports, track conversions, and improve sales outcomes.

○ Meet Expected KPIs, Including

Minimum 60–80 connected calls per day
2–3 hours of active talk time per day (average)
Consistent achievement of weekly revenue targets aligned with batch requirements
Additional Duties:

○ Handle complex student concerns, escalations, and larger student groups as required.

○ Take ownership of additional responsibilities aligned with senior counseling requirements.

○ Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.

Who You Are

Must-Have:

○  1–8 years of experience  in counseling or sales, preferably within the EdTech industry.

○ Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.

○ Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to engage, inspire, and guide students.

○ Interest and experience in educational counseling and sales with a goal-oriented mindset.

○ Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.

○ Candidate must be  residing in Mumbai .

Should Have:

○ Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to manage responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

○ Demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.

○ Ability to mentor peers and contribute positively to team performance.

Nice to Have:

○ Prior work experience in an EdTech company, preferably in student counseling, admissions, or sales.

○ Certifications or working knowledge in digital marketing or educational counseling.
