This role covers a broad developmental spectrum spanning Elementary, Middle, and High School levels ( Grades 3–12 ).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Subject Matter Expertise:
Conduct thorough research on key literary works, genres, and themes relevant to Grade 3-5 ELA. (
Note:
Responsibilities also extend across grades 6-12 based on the assigned course block).
Stay informed about current educational trends and best practices in language arts instruction.
2. Instructional Design and Development:
Create detailed lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
Develop assessments and evaluation tools to measure student understanding and writing proficiency.
Design supplementary materials, such as reading guides, writing prompts, and multimedia resources, to enhance the learning experience.
3. Collaboration and Feedback:
Collaborate with curriculum developers, educators, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with educational goals.
Incorporate feedback from peer reviews and pilot testing to refine lesson plans and instructional materials.
Participate in virtual collaboration sessions with the our team to discuss progress and share insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for English Language Arts.
Strong knowledge of literary analysis and writing instruction.
Experience teaching English Language Arts at the high school level.
Must be comfortable working with AI Tools, and should be open to work on Articulate Rise (training will be provided).
Preferred:
Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Familiarity with digital learning platforms and instructional technology.
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Creative approach to instructional design and student engagement.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
