Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Principal for the College of Nursing who will
provide academic leadership, administrative direction, and strategic development for the
nursing institution. The candidate should ensure excellence in nursing education, clinical
training, research activities, regulatory compliance, and overall institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the overall academic and administrative operations of the College
of Nursing.
• Ensure compliance with norms and regulations of the Indian Nursing Council, State
Nursing Council and affiliated university guidelines.
• Develop and implement academic plans, teaching schedules, and curriculum
activities.
• Supervise faculty recruitment, performance evaluation, mentoring, and staff
development programs.
• Monitor quality of nursing education, clinical training, and student discipline.
• Coordinate with hospitals for clinical postings, internships, and practical training.
• Promote research activities, seminars, workshops, conferences, and academic
development initiatives.
• Maintain accreditation standards, records, documentation, and statutory
requirements.
• Guide students in academic progress, professional ethics, and career development.
• Prepare departmental budgets, annual reports, and institutional performance
reports.
• Represent the institution in academic, regulatory, and professional forums.
Eligibility Criteria
• M.Sc. Nursing with a Ph.D. in Nursing preferred.
• Candidate should fulfill eligibility norms as per INC and university guidelines.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, out of which 10 years in a collegiate programme and
5 years of clinical experience.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education regulations, accreditation standards,
and academic administration.
