Position: MYP English Teacher (Middle Years Programme – Grades 6 to 10)
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate MYP framework .
Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Foster inquiry-based, concept-driven, and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Design assessments in accordance with MYP criteria and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, and progress reports.
Encourage creativity, communication, collaboration, and international-mindedness among students.
Integrate technology and digital resources effectively into classroom teaching.
Support students in projects, exhibitions, literary activities, debates, and public speaking events.
Collaborate with subject teachers, coordinators, and parents to support student development.
Participate actively in curriculum planning, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in English (BA/MA English or equivalent).
B.Ed. or recognized teaching qualification.
IB MYP training/certification preferred.
Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in English Language & Literature, preferably in an IB, IGCSE, Cambridge, or international curriculum school.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and ICT skills.
Desired Competencies
Strong understanding of MYP philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and criterion-referenced assessment.
Ability to create differentiated learning experiences for diverse learners.
Proficiency in integrating ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills into teaching.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Commitment to continuous professional growth and student-centered learning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Student achievement and progress in MYP assessment criteria.
Quality of lesson planning and curriculum delivery.
Effective classroom management and student engagement.
Timely completion of assessments and reports.
Contribution to school initiatives, events, and professional learning communities.

Location - Worli, Mumbai
Full Time Role - 7.30 to 3.30
