Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shadow Teacher role based in Mumbai. The Shadow Teacher will provide one-on-one in-class support to a student, helping them stay engaged, follow instructions, and participate in classroom activities. Responsibilities include breaking down tasks into manageable steps, reinforcing concepts taught by the main teacher, and using strategies to support attention, behavior, and social interactions. The role also involves collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to align on goals and progress.

The Shadow Teacher will maintain daily observations, support the student during transitions and assessments, and promote independence while respecting the student’s pace and needs.

Qualifications

- Graduate or post graduate in psychology, spl edu, remedial education
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working with children in school or learning environments.
- Ability to design and adapt Lesson Planning to meet individual learning needs and classroom objectives.
- Excellent Communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, and families.
- Experience in Training or supporting learners with diverse or special educational needs is highly beneficial.
- Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psycholo,
- gy, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to learn and apply evidence-based strategies, participate in supervision, and attend relevant training sessions.
