Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Secondary English Teacher role based in Mumbai. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the ICSE curriculum for secondary grades. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans, preparing learning materials, assessing student work, and providing timely feedback to support academic growth. The role involves integrating reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills, as well as fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, participate in school events and professional development, communicate regularly with families, and contribute to co-curricular or enrichment activities related to English.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in English Teaching and English Literature, with the ability to engage secondary learners and build age-appropriate language and analytical skills.
- Qualified Teacher status or equivalent teaching certification, with formal training in education and experience teaching at the secondary level.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning, designing assessments, and using data to inform instruction and support diverse learners.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, preferably within the ICSE framework, and comfort integrating cross-curricular and project-based learning.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field; a
B.Ed. or equivalent teacher education qualification is strongly preferred.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices.
- Openness to continuous professional learning, reflective practice, and collaboration with academic coordinators and peers.
- Comfort using educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
