Role Description The Student Welfare Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at the AAFT campus in Noida. The role focuses on supporting students’ well-being, academic success, and overall campus experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include offering guidance and counseling on academic, personal, and social issues; coordinating welfare programs, workshops, and awareness initiatives; and maintaining accurate records of student interactions and support plans.

The Student Welfare Officer will collaborate with faculty, administration, and student groups to identify needs, address concerns, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. The role also involves handling student queries, organizing orientation and training sessions, and referring students to internal or external support services when needed.

Qualifications

Strong welfare and student support skills, with the ability to address academic, personal, and social concerns empathetically and confidentially.
Experience in training, workshops, or facilitation related to student development, life skills, or well-being.
Background in social services, counseling, or community support, preferably within an educational or youth-focused setting.
Interviewing and active listening skills to assess student needs, gather relevant information, and provide appropriate guidance.
Experience in recruiting or coordinating student volunteers, peer mentors, or representatives for welfare initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or certification in counseling is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and staff.
Ability to manage sensitive situations, maintain confidentiality, and handle multiple cases and initiatives simultaneously.
Familiarity with campus welfare policies, safeguarding principles, and referral procedures is desirable
