Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Secondary Computer Teacher role based at The Green Acres Academy in Mumbai. The Secondary Computer Teacher will plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons aligned with the ICSE curriculum for middle and high school learners. Responsibilities include designing and updating lesson plans, projects, and assessments; teaching programming concepts and digital literacy; and integrating technology into classroom activities.
The teacher will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum initiatives, participating in school events and parent interactions, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment that reflects TGAA’s change maker ethos.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter expertise in Computer Science , including core concepts relevant to the ICSE curriculum.
Practical experience with Programming languages and tools appropriate for secondary school teaching.
Effective Communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly to learners, families, and colleagues.
Experience in Curriculum Development , including designing lesson plans, projects, and assessments for secondary students.
Demonstrated Teaching skills, with the ability to manage classrooms, differentiate instruction, and support diverse learners.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field; a
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
Prior experience teaching computer science or ICT at the secondary level, preferably within the ICSE framework.
Comfort using educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and digital tools to enhance instruction.
