The School Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the school's educational programs, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role involves frequent engagement with School Leaders, School Core Group, teaching staff, monitoring sessions, and maintaining program integrity.
The Manager is also responsible for data analysis, and school reporting.
Role and responsibilities:
Conduct lesson observations of all teachers in the schools assigned to assess teaching methodologies and ensure adherence to curriculum standards.
Attend micro teaching sessions weekly and provide necessary follow-up support to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Conduct audits of student notebooks and written work to ensure completeness and quality of academic work.
Oversee maintenance of weekly trackers to monitor and assess various aspects of the educational programs.
Provide support in the recruitment process for every teacher recruitment in the schools assigned.
Support in conducting induction training for new teachers as and when appointed.
Organize regular and customized training sessions based on school-specific needs.
Ensure continuous improvement and high quality of school programs through periodic reviews.
Conduct weekly overview of ORION and COWB functions to ensure alignment with educational goals for students with special needs.
Prepare and submit weekly written reports on school operations and progress to the reporting Manager.
Conduct comprehensive audits of the school twice a year.
Provide necessary updates to admission counselors regarding the latest school initiatives.
Support the PD team by conducting training.
Oversee implementation of the training.
Collect and evaluate evidence of the training.
Conduct and analyze the Teacher Aptitude tests.
Undertake marks and result analysis.
Provide insights to support academics, especially in the DAKSH programme.
Experience and
Qualification:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field.
Curriculum
Experience:
Mandatory teaching experience within a Cambridge school environment.
Leadership & Coordination: Proven track record in educational program coordination or a similar administrative/leadership role.
Curriculum & Assessment: Deep understanding of curriculum development and modern assessment methodologies.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, presentation design tools like Canva, and familiarity with emerging AI tools for education.
Data Literacy: A strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to interpret and leverage data to drive student outcomes and program improvements.
