1. Librarian

Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
Organize, catalogue, and maintain books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference materials.
Assist students and teachers in effectively accessing and using library resources.
Promote a culture of reading through book clubs, reading programmes, book displays, and related initiatives.
Guide students in using library systems and reference tools for academic research.
Coordinate with academic departments to support curriculum requirements.
Maintain records of issued/returned materials and manage overdue resources.
Ensure a well-organized, quiet, and respectful library environment.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib).
Minimum 10 years of experience in a school or academic library preferred.
Familiarity with library management software.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Passion for reading, literature, and student engagement.

2. Western Music Teacher
Banyan Tree School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Western Music Teacher with strong knowledge of Western Music and the ability to inspire students through engaging and creative music education.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging Western Music classes for students.
Develop students’ vocal and instrumental skills through structured instruction.
Prepare and train students for assemblies, concerts, competitions, annual functions, and cultural events.
Conduct choir practices and coordinate musical performances.
Introduce students to Western music theory, notation, rhythm, harmony, and appropriate repertoire.
Identify and nurture students with musical aptitude.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
Coordinate with activity and event teams for musical performances.
Maintain records of student participation, progress, and achievements.
Participate actively in school events and professional development programmes.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Music, preferably with specialization in Western Music.
Formal training/certification in Western Classical Music or a recognized music qualification preferred.
Strong proficiency in Vocal Music and/or relevant Western musical instruments.
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a school or similar educational institution.
Experience in training students for choirs, productions, concerts, competitions, and cultural events.
Good communication, classroom management, and collaborative skills.
