Instructional Designer ​/ Senior Instructional Desginer

Role Description
This is a  remote full time contractual role (6-12 months)  for an  Instructional Designer  working with a Pune-based EdTech firm.
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for  designing, developing, and refining instructional content  aligned to defined learning objectives and pedagogical standards. The role involves close collaboration with  Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Senior Instructional Designers, and Project Managers  to produce high-quality learning experiences across assigned modules or programs.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design & Development
Worked on  storyboarding for US K-12 education segment (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT) or K-12 India or Corporate / Vocational Learning Courses
Conduct  needs analysis  to understand learning objectives, learner profiles, and content requirements
Design and develop  instructional artifacts  such as blueprints, outlines, storyboards, assessments, and learning activities
Apply established  instructional design models and pedagogical best practices  to create engaging and effective content
Translate SME inputs into  clear, structured, and learner-centric instructional materials

Content Execution & Quality
Develop content in alignment with  defined guidelines, templates, and quality standards
Ensure instructional materials are consistent, accurate, and aligned  with curriculum goals
Incorporate feedback from Senior IDs, SMEs, and stakeholders to continuously improve learning assets

Collaboration & Project Support
Work closely with  Senior Instructional Designers  to implement design direction and standards
Collaborate with  Project Managers  to meet timelines, milestones, and delivery expectations
Participate in design reviews and team discussions to resolve instructional or content-level challenges

Tools & Platforms
Support development of  e-learning content  for LMS platforms
Use authoring tools, collaboration platforms, and review systems as required by the project
Assist in testing and validating learning materials prior to final delivery

Qualifications Experience
3–10 years of experience  in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design
Prior experience in  K-12 content (US education system preferred), Career and Technical Education (CTE), vocational training,

Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in  instructional design principles and curriculum development
Experience conducting needs analysis  and translating requirements into instructional solutions
Understanding of  assessment design , learning objectives, and instructional alignment
Familiarity with  LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and digital content development
Ability to evaluate instructional content and suggest improvements
Strong written communication, attention to detail, and collaboration skills

Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in  Education, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Training, or a related field

Budget: INR 50-95K per month (depending on candidate exposure and relevant experience and fitment)
