Role Description  The Academic Head – Cambridge Curriculum will lead the academic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of Cambridge programmes across the school. This full-time, on-site role based in Vijayawada involves designing and aligning curricula with Cambridge standards, overseeing scheme of work development, and ensuring effective instructional practices in classrooms. The Academic Head will mentor and support teachers through regular observations, feedback, and professional development sessions, while monitoring student performance data and implementing interventions to improve learning outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating assessments and examinations, ensuring compliance with Cambridge policies, collaborating with school leadership on academic strategy, and engaging with families and stakeholders on curriculum-related matters. The role also requires staying updated on global best practices in Cambridge education and integrating innovative, learner‑centric approaches into the school’s academic framework.
Qualifications
Strong academic leadership experience in Cambridge curriculum (IGCSE, AS/A Level, or similar) with a proven track record of managing school‑wide academic programs.
Expertise in curriculum planning, instructional design, and assessment strategies aligned with Cambridge standards.
Demonstrated skills in teacher mentoring, classroom observation, feedback, and organizing professional development initiatives.
Ability to use student performance data and analytics to drive academic decisions, interventions, and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills for working with school leadership, educators, and families.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to coordinate multiple academic processes and deadlines.
Master’s degree in Education or a related field;
Cambridge-specific certifications or training are highly desirable.
Experience in K–12 school settings, preferably in international or Cambridge schools in India, with familiarity of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Comfort with using educational technology platforms and digital tools to support teaching, learning, and academic administration.
