About the Role
The Admission Counselor cum Executive is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, promoting the University's academic programs, and ensuring smooth admission-related operations. The role includes student counseling, follow-ups, documentation, and coordination with various departments to achieve admission targets.
Responsibilities :
Admission Counseling
Counsel prospective students and parents about the University's programs, eligibility, admission process, and career opportunities.
Respond to admission inquiries through phone calls, emails, Whats App, and walk-in visits.
Provide accurate information regarding courses, fees, scholarships, hostel facilities, and campus life.
Guide students in selecting suitable programs based on their interests and qualifications.
Student Follow-up
Follow up with prospective students to encourage application submission and admission confirmation.
Maintain regular communication with applicants until the admission process is completed.
Build positive relationships with students and parents.
Admission Process
Assist students in filling out admission forms and completing documentation.
Verify student documents and ensure all admission records are complete.
Coordinate with academic departments for eligibility verification and admission approvals.
Maintain admission records and update the admission management system.
Marketing & Outreach
Participate in admission campaigns, education fairs, seminars, school visits, and career guidance programs.
Coordinate with the marketing team for lead generation activities.
Promote the University's programs through various communication channels.
Administrative Responsibilities
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly admission reports.
Maintain databases of inquiries, applications, and admissions.
Coordinate with the finance department regarding admission fee collection.
Handle admission-related correspondence and maintain confidential records.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Science (Master's Degree preferred).
1–3 years of experience in admissions, counseling, sales, customer service, or student relations.
Fresher’s with excellent communication skills may also apply.
Required Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong counseling and convincing abilities.
Good presentation and negotiation skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work with CRM or admission management software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work under admission targets and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in higher education admissions or educational institutions.
Experience in student counseling, telesales, or customer relationship management.
