About the Role
BRIVIN Solar is building a centrally managed Solar EPC business focused on  residential and commercial solar installations , with growing capabilities across  Solar PV, hybrid systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

We are looking for a  Solar Design & Technical Engineer  who can take technical ownership of both  Solar PV and battery energy storage system design .

This is not simply a drafting or AutoCAD role. The person should be technically sound, understand customer energy requirements, design appropriate solar and battery systems, select equipment, prepare engineering drawings and BOMs, and provide technical support through installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
1. Solar PV Design & Engineering
Design residential and commercial rooftop Solar PV systems.
Analyze electricity bills, load requirements, consumption patterns and available site area.
Determine appropriate plant capacity based on technical and customer requirements.
Prepare module layouts, string configurations and inverter sizing.
Prepare  Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings and system architecture .
Conduct or review shading analysis and energy-generation estimates.
Prepare detailed project-wise  Bill of Materials (BOM) .
Optimize system designs for performance, safety, reliability and project economics.
2. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Design
Design battery storage solutions for residential and commercial applications.
Analyze load profiles, critical loads, peak demand and required backup duration.
Calculate battery capacity considering load, autonomy, efficiency, Depth of Discharge (DoD) and operating requirements.
Design  Solar + BESS, hybrid and backup power configurations .
Understand battery technologies and chemistries, particularly  Lithium-ion/LFP systems .
Size and select batteries, hybrid inverters, PCS and associated electrical equipment.
Ensure compatibility between  Solar PV, inverter/PCS, battery, BMS and the customer's electrical system .
Prepare BESS system architecture, technical specifications, drawings and BOMs.
Evaluate different battery and energy-storage products from a technical perspective.
3. Site Feasibility & Technical Assessment
Review site survey data, roof dimensions, electrical infrastructure and load requirements.
Identify technical constraints before finalizing project design.
Coordinate with site teams for measurements and additional technical information.
Participate in site visits where technical assessment is required.
Recommend suitable system configurations based on site and customer requirements.
4. Equipment Selection & Engineering
Evaluate solar modules, string/hybrid inverters, batteries, PCS, mounting structures and BOS components.
Review manufacturer datasheets and ensure compatibility between components.
Perform cable sizing, protection selection, earthing requirements and other relevant electrical calculations.
Develop standardized configurations for commonly offered Solar and Solar + BESS systems.
Support procurement teams with technical evaluation of products, vendors and alternatives.
5. Project Execution & Commissioning Support
Work closely with the EPC Operations & Project Coordinator and on-field teams.
Release approved drawings, BOMs and technical documentation before project execution.
Provide technical clarification to installation teams during execution.
Review design changes required due to actual site conditions.
Support testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of Solar PV and BESS installations.
