Family Office Manager

Role Overview :
The Family Office Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of financial operations, investments, compliance, reporting, and stakeholder coordination for a single or multi-family office. The role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong exposure to Indian and international taxation, investment coordination, and high standards of governance and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder & Institutional Liaison
2. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting:
Prepare periodic MIS and portfolio reports (daily / monthly / quarterly) for family members and directors
Track performance across asset classes including equities, mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, fixed income, bonds, real estate, and alternative investments
Reconcile broker statements, CAS, bank accounts, and custodian reports
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance (India & International):
Oversee income tax returns for individuals, HUFs, trusts, and group entities Compute and ensure timely payment of advance tax
Manage TDS compliance including deductions, challans, returns, and Form 16/16A
Oversee GST compliance where applicable
Coordinate international taxation matters including DTAA, FEMA, foreign income, overseas investments, and disclosures
Liaise with domestic and international tax advisors, auditors, and consultants
4. Payments, Banking & Cash Flow Management:
Manage bank accounts, fund flows, and liquidity planning
Ensure timely payments for invesents, taxes, vendors, utilities, and professional fees
Oversee credit card usage, limits, statement reconciliations, and due date payments
Prepare cash flow forecasts and fund requirement schedules
5. Accounting, Records & Documentation:
Maintain accurate financial records, investment registers, and transaction documentation
Coordinate bookkeeping and ensure audit readiness at all times
Maintain digital and physical records of agreements, contracts, and statutory filings
6. Governance, Risk & Confidentiality:
Ensure strict confidentiality of family financial and personal information
Support governance frameworks for trusts, entities, and holding structures
Assist in statutory audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews
Qualifications &
Experience:
Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory
7–15 years of relevant experience in family office, private wealth, investment management, or senior finance roles
Strong hands-on exposure to Indian taxation and working knowledge of international tax laws (DTAA, FEMA)
