Role Overview Diagnex is hiring experienced Dialysis Technologists / JDTs for its Nephrology and Dialysis operations in Mumbai, Maharashtra .
This is a hands-on clinical role for professionals who have formal training in dialysis technology and at least 2 years of practical experience working in a dialysis centre, hospital, nephrology facility, or structured dialysis environment .
The selected candidate will support the safe, efficient and protocol-driven delivery of Hemodialysis sessions while working closely with nephrologists, nurses and the wider clinical team.
Key Responsibilities The Dialysis Technologist / JDT will be responsible for:
Preparing dialysis machines, dialysers, bloodlines and associated equipment before each session.
Conducting required pre-treatment machine and equipment checks.
Assisting with patient preparation before dialysis.
Monitoring patients throughout Hemodialysis sessions.
Recording vital parameters, treatment information and relevant observations accurately.
Completing post-dialysis procedures and documentation.
Closely observing patients during treatment and identifying abnormal responses or clinical concerns.
Promptly escalating complications or changes in patient condition to the nephrologist, nursing team or appropriate clinical personnel.
Supporting vascular-access related procedures within the permitted scope of the role and according to institutional protocols.
Maintaining treatment records, machine logs and relevant dialysis documentation.
Monitoring availability of dialysis consumables and ensuring necessary materials are prepared before scheduled sessions.
Reporting technical abnormalities, equipment issues or operational concerns promptly.
Maintaining appropriate cleaning, disinfection and infection-control practices within the dialysis environment.
Ensuring dialysis machines and associated equipment are appropriately disinfected between patients according to applicable protocols.
Coordinating with nephrologists, nurses and other clinical team members regarding patient requirements and operational needs.
Infection Control & Unit Discipline A major part of this role involves maintaining strict standards relating to:
Infection control
Machine cleaning and disinfection
Dialysis-area hygiene
Appropriate handling of consumables
Treatment documentation
Equipment readiness
Patient safety
Timely clinical escalation
Candidates should be comfortable working in an active dialysis environment where clinical discipline, punctuality, accurate documentation and adherence to protocols are essential .
Qualification Requirements Applicants must possess a recognised qualification in Dialysis Technology, Dialysis Technician training, JDT training, or an equivalent paramedical qualification specifically related to dialysis .
A minimum of 2 years of direct hands-on dialysis experience is mandatory .
Freshers and candidates without practical dialysis experience should not apply.
General nursing, laboratory, OT or unrelated paramedical experience will not be considered a substitute for direct dialysis experience.
Preferred Experience Candidates with strong practical exposure to the following will be preferred:
Hemodialysis machine preparation and operation
Dialyser and bloodline handling
Patient preparation and monitoring
Vascular-access monitoring
Dialysis documentation
Machine disinfection
Infection-control procedures
Identification and escalation of dialysis-related complications
Coordination with nephrologists and nursing teams
Structured dialysis protocols
Familiarity with established dialysis machine systems
