Position: Performance Physiotherapist - Recovery & Longevity
About the Role   That Lifestyle Coach  is looking for an experienced   Performance Physiotherapist – Recovery & Longevity   to join our team in Mumbai.
This is not a conventional clinic-based physiotherapy role.

The selected candidate will work closely with a private client as part of a broader performance and wellness ecosystem, with responsibility spanning   musculoskeletal health, injury prevention, recovery, mobility, rehabilitation, physical readiness and recovery-facility management   .
We are looking for someone who already has strong hands-on experience and can operate independently at a high professional standard while collaborating closely with a strength & conditioning and wider healthcare team.

This role is best suited to a physiotherapist who understands that the objective is not simply to treat pain, but to help maintain long-term physical capability, readiness and performance.

Key Responsibilities
1.Clinical Physiotherapy & Musculoskeletal Management
The physiotherapist will be responsible for:
Conducting regular musculoskeletal assessments.
Identifying mobility restrictions, asymmetries, pain patterns and signs of physical overload.
Managing training-related aches, minor injuries and recurring musculoskeletal concerns.
Delivering high-quality manual therapy, soft-tissue work, joint mobilisation and assisted mobility where appropriate.
Developing and progressing rehabilitation and prehabilitation programmes.
Tracking recovery and physical progress over time.
Identifying when a concern requires escalation to a doctor or specialist.
Maintaining appropriate clinical documentation and professional boundaries.
The candidate should already be comfortable independently assessing and managing musculoskeletal and sports-related cases.

2.Performance, Movement & Training Integration

The physiotherapist will work closely with the strength & conditioning team and should have a practical understanding of training.

Responsibilities include:

Understanding the client's strength and conditioning programme.
Identifying physical restrictions that may affect training quality or performance.
Recommending appropriate exercise modifications where required.
Supporting return-to-training following injury or discomfort.
Developing mobility, activation, corrective exercise and pre-training routines.
Supporting post-training recovery.
Communicating relevant findings to the performance team.
Helping reduce unnecessary interruption to training due to preventable physical issues.
The physiotherapist should be comfortable working as part of an integrated performance team rather than functioning in isolation.

3.Recovery & Physical Readiness

The role includes proactive management of the client's day-to-day physical readiness.
This may include:
Muscular soreness
Joint stiffness
Training fatigue
Travel-related stiffness
Recovery following demanding sessions
Mobility limitations
Physical preparation before training
Recovery around demanding professional schedules
Recovery strategies should be selected based on the individual's actual needs rather than applied as generic protocols.

4.Recovery Technology & Wellness Equipment
The private recovery facility includes a range of modern recovery and wellness technologies.
These may include:
Cryotherapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Sauna
Cold plunge / cold-water immersion
Compression recovery systems
Red-light / infrared therapy
Percussion therapy
Electrical stimulation and other recovery devices
The physiotherapist will be expected to:
Understand appropriate use cases and basic contraindications.
Facilitate or supervise safe use where required.
Learn manufacturer-specific protocols.
Understand frequency and integration of different recovery modalities.
Apply professional judgement when deciding whether a modality is appropriate.
Previous experience within a high-performance, sports-recovery or longevity environment will be a significant advantage.

5.Recovery Facility & Equipment Oversight
This role also carries operational responsibility for ensuring the recovery facility remains ready for use.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring recovery equipment is functional and available.
Conducting routine equipment checks.
Maintaining appropriate hygiene and readiness standards.
Maintaining servicing and preventive-maintenance schedules.
Identifying equipment issues early.
Coordinating with vendors and service technicians when required.
Maintaining relevant maintenance and service records.
Ensuring approved users understand appropriate equipment protocols.
The physiotherapist is not expected to personally repair specialised equipment, but will be expected to take ownership of ensuring issues are identified and appropriately resolved.

6.Supporting Approved Facility Users
The recovery facility may occasionally be used by other approved individuals when the primary client is unavailable or travelling.
The physiotherapist may therefore be required to:
Orient approved users to relevant equipment.
Explain appropriate usage and safety protocols.
Supervise equipment where…
