Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Duck Creek Claims Application Developer to design, develop, configure, and support Duck Creek Claims solutions that meet business and operational needs. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality insurance claims systems. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Duck Creek Claims, ensuring solution stability, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Duck Creek Claims applications to support end-to-end claims processing and business workflows.
• Work independently and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Duck Creek Claims modules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during requirements analysis, design discussions, sprint planning, and solution reviews.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical and functional specifications.
• Provide effective solutions for application enhancements, change requests, and production issues.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance-related issues.
• Partner with Business Analysts, QA, Integration, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
• Support testing activities including unit testing, system testing, and UAT, ensuring high-quality releases.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including configuration details and application specifications.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, coding standards, and industry best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of strong, hands-on experience with Duck Creek Claims.
• In-depth understanding of Duck Creek Claims architecture, configuration, and customization.
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims lifecycle, workflows, and business processes.
• Experience working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven expertise in application troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with application development frameworks.
• Working knowledge of databases and data modeling concepts.
• Exposure to system integrations and web services (REST / SOAP).
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
