Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager – Data Privacy with strong project governance skills and hands-on exposure to data privacy programs. The role involves managing end-to-end delivery of privacy initiatives, coordinating with legal, security, IT, and business stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to global and local data protection regulations.
This position requires a structured, delivery-oriented professional who can manage multiple privacy work streams while ensuring timelines, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Program Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of data privacy projects including assessments, remediation, and compliance programs
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans
- Track project risks, issues, and action items; ensure timely resolution
- Prepare project plans, status reports, dashboards, and steering committee updates
Data Privacy & Compliance
- Lead and coordinate projects related to:
- Privacy compliance assessments
- DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments)
- RoPA (Records of Processing Activities)
- Privacy control implementation and remediation
- Support compliance initiatives aligned to GDPR, DPDPA (India), and other global privacy regulations
- Work closely with legal, infosec, IT, and business teams to operationalize privacy requirements
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Drive governance forums, review meetings, and executive updates
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices (PMP / PMO standards)
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of overall experience with project management exposure in data privacy or regulatory programs
- PMP Certification – Mandatory
- Hands-on experience managing data privacy–related initiatives
- Strong understanding of privacy concepts such as DPIA, RoPA, consent management, and data lifecycle
- Exposure to regulations such as GDPR, India DPDPA, and global privacy frameworks
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in consulting, BFSI, technology, or regulated environments preferred
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM
- Experience working with global or cross-functional teams
- Prior PMO or large transformation program exposure
