Job Summary:
Senior Data & ML Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting scalable Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and enterprise data integration platforms. The role also involves enabling MLOps, supporting machine learning pipelines, and contributing to emerging Generative AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design, and deploy Data Warehouse / Data Lake / DaaS architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native data engineering tools such as: AWS:
Redshift, EMR, Airflow (MWAA), Kinesis, Athena, Glue & Azure:
Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Databricks, Data Fabric
- Understand and augment existing data models and contribute to enterprise data architecture decisions.
- Implement ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Kafka, SSIS, Talend, ADF, Python, R, PySpark.
- Build, operationalize, and maintain ML pipelines including data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience with MLOps platforms such as: AWS Sage Maker, Azure ML Studio, Databricks MLflow.
- Implement CI/CD workflows for ML models ensuring scalability, version control, and performance monitoring.
- Understanding of GenAI fundamentals including LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, and fine‑tuning.
- Assist in evaluating GenAI use cases relevant to the Mutual Fund and Asset Management domain (e.g., research summarization, portfolio analytics automation, intelligent document processing).
- Exposure to investment lifecycle processes—NAV computation, fund accounting, investor reporting, regulatory data needs.
- Understand data flows across market data providers, transaction feeds, research systems, and portfolio management platforms.
- Contribute to the organization’s data dictionary, metadata management, and data quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with Info Sec and data privacy guidelines.
- Monitor data pipelines for integrity, quality, and performance; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Facilitate ad‑hoc reporting using Athena/Presto or Azure equivalents.
- Orchestrate workflows and ensure high service availability.
- Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and domain specialists to deliver analytics and reporting solutions.
- Lead and manage end‑to‑end data projects leveraging reusable cloud architectures.
What makes you a Great Fit?
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience building enterprise data platforms using AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Big Query, or Synapse.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle multiple technology stacks.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
