About the Role
We are looking for a Content Operations Manager to lead and streamline the end-to-end content publishing and asset management workflow for our app. This role will own content publishing accuracy, metadata governance, library structuring, backup systems, and operational excellence s is a high-ownership, detail-driven leadership role responsible for ensuring the app’s content ecosystem is structured, searchable, error-free, and operationally efficient.

Key Responsibilities
1) Content Publishing Ownership & Governance
Oversee and manage end-to-end content publishing across the app (videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, categories, etc.).
Ensure correct content mapping across sections (e.g., Binge, Trending, Categories, Series, Playlists).
Own publishing calendars and ensure timely go-live as per launch schedules.
Establish publishing standards and governance protocols.
Supervise and review publishing accuracy to maintain near-zero error rates.

2) Content Library Architecture & Catalogue Strategy
Design and maintain a scalable content library structure.
Define and implement naming conventions, taxonomy, and metadata frameworks.
Oversee structuring of:
Series and episodic formats
Playlists and collections
Seasonal and category-based hierarchies
Ensure discoverability through strong tagging systems and metadata discipline.
Manage version control (final cuts, revised edits, alternate versions).

3) Asset Management & Backup Systems
Own and maintain a structured, secure backup ecosystem for:
Raw footage
Edited masters
Thumbnails/posters
Subtitles/captions
Scripts and related documentation
Build and enforce archival and retention policies.
Ensure zero loss, duplication, or misfiling of assets.
Collaborate with tech/IT teams to optimise storage systems (Drive/Server/Cloud).

4) Metadata Accuracy & Quality Control
Implement a strong QC process before publishing:
Title accuracy and spell checks
Correct thumbnails and cover art
Proper category and series mapping
Duration, format, and resolution validation
Complete and structured metadata
Ensure compliance with internal publishing and platform standards.
Quickly troubleshoot and resolve publishing or mapping errors.
Coordinate with Product/Tech teams for CMS-related fixes.

5) Cross-Functional Coordination & Launch Management
Act as the central point of coordination between:
Creative & Editorial
Marketing & Social
Product & Tech
Ensure smooth publishing during campaigns, launches, and high-traffic events.
Maintain publishing readiness for:
Major IP launches
Festival campaigns
Trending moments
High-priority binge series

6) Reporting, Analytics & Operational Insights
Track publishing and content ops metrics such as:
Volume of uploads
Error rate
Metadata gaps
Content library growth
Maintain a “Single Source of Truth” tracker (Content , title, format, status, publish date).
Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend automation or system upgrades.
Present operational insights and improvement plans to leadership.

7) Process Building & Team Leadership
Build, document, and enforce SOPs for:
Upload checklists
Naming conventions
Folder structures
Backup protocols
Version control
Lead and mentor junior content ops executives.
Ensure consistency, accountability, and scalability of content operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual dependency and errors.

Skills & Qualifications
6–8 years of experience in content operations, media operations, publishing workflows, or digital platforms.
Strong experience managing CMS platforms and high-volume video publishing.
Deep understanding of metadata structures, content taxonomy, and asset workflows.
Comfortable working with Google Drive, cloud storage systems, spreadsheets, and CMS tools.
Strong leadership, coordination, and process management skills.
High attention to detail with ability to maintain operational discipline at scale.
