Growth Lead - SEO (Individual Contributor | India Market)

A SaaS-enabled content marketing platform that powers content creation, workflow orchestration, and distribution at scale
Now, we're building an Agentic AI SEO Platform —one that automates execution on foundational SEO tasks, so we can drive scalable organic growth for our customers. This role sits at the heart of that evolution.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Growth Lead - SEO to drive organic growth outcomes for Pepper's customers while helping shape how our AI platform scales SEO execution across our client portfolio.
This is not a leadership role. This is an Individual Contributor role.
We're not looking for someone who wants to:
Manage large teams
Sit in strategy meetings all day
"Guide" others while their own SEO skills rust
We're looking for someone who:
Still gets their hands dirty with data, every single day
Has personally grown websites—not "overseen growth," but done it
Sees AI automation as a multiplier for scaling client outcomes
Wants to figure out what works across multiple customer websites when execution is handled by machines
You'll work directly on SEO systems for our customers, partner with product and AI teams, and shape how we operationalize SEO through technology—without managing a team.
What You'll Do at Pepper
1. Own Organic Growth for Pepper Customers (Hands-On)
Drive end-to-end SEO outcomes for customer websites—traffic, rankings, revenue impact
Work across multiple customer accounts, identifying patterns and opportunities at scale
Execute and iterate, not just strategize and delegate
Be accountable for measurable client results you personally influence
2. Go Deep on Data & Analytics (Across Customer Portfolio)
Live in Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog—across multiple client properties
Analyze performance patterns across customer websites to identify scalable growth levers
Turn raw data into actionable insights that drive client outcomes—not slide decks
3. Shape the Agentic AI SEO Platform for Customer Scale
Partner with Pepper's product, automation, and AI teams to define what gets automated and how across our customer base
Identify which SEO workflows can scale through AI for multiple clients—and which require human judgment
Test, break, and refine AI-assisted SEO execution on real customer websites
Help build the system that makes SEO predictable and scalable for Pepper's entire customer portfolio
4. Execute Technical & Content-Led SEO for Customers
Own technical SEO for client websites: crawling, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, migrations
Drive content strategy through an SEO lens for customers: keyword research, topical authority, content gap analysis
Implement programmatic and long-tail SEO strategies for client growth
Push customer results beyond traffic metrics into commercial and revenue impact
5. Experiment Relentlessly (With Customer Outcomes in Mind)
A/B test titles, schema, content formats, internal linking structures across client sites
Document what works. Kill what doesn't. Scale what succeeds across the customer base.
Build playbooks that drive repeatable results for Pepper's customers
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
8–12 years of SEO experience , with demonstrable, measurable impact on organic growth
Significant in-house or client-side experience —agency-only backgrounds are a harder fit; we need someone who's owned outcomes , not just delivered reports
Proven track record of personally growing websites —bring the receipts
Deep expertise in:
Technical SEO (indexation, rendering, site speed, structured data, log file analysis)
Content-led SEO (topical clusters, SERP analysis, content…
