Northstar Analytics (“Northstar”) is a research and analytics firm that supports global financial institutions and corporates. Founded in September 2021, Northstar has a growing team of 50+ professionals who work on in-depth investment and business strategy research for both buy-side firms (like private equity, venture capital, family offices, hedge funds, and independent sponsors) and sell-side firms (such as boutique investment banks and merchant banks).

Role:

We are looking for someone who is curious and eager to help lead our AI transformation journey. As an AI Specialist, you’ll focus on building intelligent agents and automated workflows. Collaborate with leadership and functional teams to understand workflow requirements and identify automation opportunities.

This role is responsible for designing, building and testing AI prototypes using tools such as ChatGPT/OpenAI APIs and RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate). Driving automation of internal processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Identifying and experimenting with AI use cases across financial client servicing, document intelligence and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

1.
Agentic System Development

- Configure, test, and optimize AI model performance for research and analytics
- Design, configure, and deploy intelligent AI agents to support investment research workflows, including financial analysis, document processing, data extraction, due diligence support, and M&A research
- Build end-to-end automated workflows that integrate AI agents with existing enterprise systems
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies to enhance Northstar’s competitive advantage
- Ensure data governance, confidentiality, and compliance standards are maintained across all AI implementations

2.
Training and Development

- Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to ensure effective adoption and utilization of AI tools across teams
- Develop user guides, SOPs, and best-practice documentation to standardize AI usage within the organization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AI-related queries, troubleshooting, and ongoing support
- Continuously assess training needs and recommend improvements to enhance AI adoption and efficiency

3.
Leadership & Collaboration

- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on AI investment prioritization and roadmap planning
- Lead cross-functional AI transformation initiatives across research, operations, and business strategy teams

Prerequisites:

- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech, B.E., or

B.Sc.) in a relevant discipline
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply
- Strong interest in AI and Financial Services, with hands-on experience and the ability to independently explore, experiment, build solutions, and proactively share knowledge in a fast-paced environment
