Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for a QA Automation Engineer. The QA Automation Engineer will design, create, and maintain automated testing frameworks, develop and execute comprehensive test cases, and collaborate closely with software developers and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality. Responsibilities also include identifying and rectifying software bugs, conducting manual testing when needed, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards and processes.
Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated testing of mobile and web applications , ensuring software quality across platforms and devices. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automation test scripts, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications (iOS & Android).
Create and maintain robust test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or similar .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure test coverage.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Circle
CI).
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Monitor and report on test automation results, defects, and quality metrics.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Ensure mobile app testing is performed across a range of devices and OS versions.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.
Required Qualifications & Skills ► Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
► 4+ years of experience in QA automation , with hands-on expertise in web and mobile app testing .
► Strong experience with automation tools like Appium , Selenium Web Driver , Cypress , or similar.
► Proficient in Java , Python , JavaScript , or other test automation programming languages.
► Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or Rest Assured for API testing.
► Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA , Test Rail , or Zephyr .
► Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Dev Ops practices .
►
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Browser Stack, Sauce Labs) is a plus.
► Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Good to Have
►
Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
► Knowledge of version control systems like Git .
► Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Spec Flow .
► ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
