About
The Role
You will be the bridge between complex technical architecture and meaningful
business growth, responsible for scaling our embedded finance platform, to
an enterprise-grade level. You will move beyond simple management to lead a high
- velocity team through the full SDLC, ensuring predictable delivery and long-term
system scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership:
Lead deep-dive architectural discussions and
conduct high-quality code reviews to maintain technical excellence.
Operational Rigour:
Master Agile/Scrum and other metrics (Cycle Time,
MTTR, Change Failure Rate) to drive predictable, high-velocity delivery.
Strategic Delivery:
Balance immediate business feature requests with the
management of technical debt and long-term platform scalability.
People Development:
Establish high-trust relationships, mentor direct reports
for promotion, and foster a psychologically safe team culture.
Process Optimization:
Audit development cycles to identify bottlenecks and
implement efficiency through automation and AI tools.

Technical Credibility:
Hands-on expertise that allows you to lead by example
and earn the respect of seasoned engineers.
Strategic Judgment:
The ability to make tough trade-offs between speed-to
- market and architectural integrity.
Emotional Intelligence:
Exceptional empathy and interpersonal skills to
resolve conflicts and demonstrate partner/customer empathy.
Operational Excellence: A disciplined approach to the engineering lifecycle
and a commitment to data-driven performance metrics.
Must-Have Requirements
Experience:
10+ years in engineering, with at least 3+ years in a formal
people management or leadership role.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with Java, Python,
Microservices, and various database technologies.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related quantitative field.
Delivery Record: A proven track record of leading teams in cloud-native or
microservices environments.
Good-to-Have
Prior experience within the Fintech or Financial Services industry.
Experience in adopting AI-driven development tools to enhance team
productivity.
Experience scaling a platform from early-stage to enterprise-grade.
