Job Summary:
- As a Windows System Administrator (L3), you will serve as a senior member of our Managed
Service Provider (MSP) team. This role requires advanced technical expertise, ownership of
critical systems, and leadership in handling escalated issues. You will act as a trusted advisor to
both internal teams and clients, ensuring robust system performance, security, and scalability
across multiple client environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escalation & Advanced Troubleshooting :
Serve as the final escalation point for complex
technical issues unresolved by L1/L2 teams. Lead in root cause analysis and resolution of
critical hardware, software, and system incidents.
Architecture & System Design :
Plan, design, and implement advanced Windows Server
infrastructures (2022 and upcoming 2025) and associated services such as Active
Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Virtualization & Cloud Strategy :
Lead the configuration and optimization of enterprise grade
virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microso.. Hyper-V) and cloud services
(Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid solutions). Provide architectural input for client specific
environments.
Security & Compliance :
Define and enforce security policies, monitor for compliance,
and lead incident response planning. Implement best practices for system hardening,
patch management, and data protection.
RMM & Automation :
Drive optimization of RMM platforms (Connect Wise Automate,
Ninja One, Kaseya VSA). Develop automation scripts/workflows to improve efficiency,
monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
Leadership & Mentoring :
Guide L1/L2 administrators, provide knowledge transfer, and
conduct training sessions. Act as a subject matter expert during client interactions.
Documentation & Governance :
Ensure comprehensive documentation of system
architectures, policies, escalation processes, and disaster recovery strategies. Generate
high-level reports and insights for management and clients.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
7+ years of proven experience in Windows System Administration or related roles, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or escalation capacity.
Technical
Skills:
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server (2022, upcoming 2025) and enterprise services (AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
Deep experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V), including clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Advanced Microsoft 365 and Azure administration skills, including security, governance and integration across client environments.
Strong scripting/automation skills (Power Shell or equivalent).
In-depth understanding of networking protocols, security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in handling high-priority incidents and managing system performance at scale.
Interpersonal
Skills:
Strong leadership, mentoring, and client-facing communication abilities.
Excellent decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly terms for clients and stakeholders.
