We are looking for an experienced Technology Head to lead the technology function for a fast-growing broking business. The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, scalability, and regulatory compliance of the trading ecosystem across Institutional and Retail Broking platforms
This is a leadership position requiring strong expertise in capital markets technology, vendor management, trading platforms, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Vendor Management
Own and manage trading technology platforms including OMS, RMS, Back-office, Client Onboarding, and Risk Management systems.
Drive platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with technology vendors and ensure timely delivery of upgrades, patches, and exchange-mandated changes.
Monitor and enforce vendor SLAs, uptime commitments, and service quality.
Technology Operations & Process Excellence
Establish and oversee daily operational processes including pre-market readiness, intraday monitoring, and post-market activities.
Lead incident management during platform outages or trading disruptions.
Implement robust change management practices to minimize business impact during system upgrades and releases.
Ensure operational resilience and business continuity across all critical systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, connectivity, and performance.
Collaborate with Information Security teams to maintain secure and compliant technology environments.
Work closely with Product, Operations, Risk, and Business teams to support new initiatives and enhancements.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Lead technology audits conducted by exchanges and regulatory bodies.
Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting and data submissions.
Stay updated with industry regulations, cybersecurity requirements, system audit guidelines, and market infrastructure changes.
Desired Profile
Experience
12–15+ years of experience in Capital Markets Technology.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a brokerage or capital markets organization.
Strong understanding of Institutional Equities and Retail Broking platforms.
Experience managing large-scale trading environments and mission-critical applications.
Proven track record of working with leading trading technology vendors and third-party platforms.
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash trading workflows.
Knowledge of OMS, RMS, CTCL, FIX Protocol, DMA, Internet Trading Platforms, and Mobile Trading Applications.
Familiarity with database management and high-volume transaction processing.
Experience in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks.
Leadership Skills
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure market situations.
Strong stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.
Process-driven approach with focus on operational excellence and governance.
Excellent communication and decision-making capabilities.
